Yermedea: A Puppet Theatre Work-in-Progress is an adaptation of Erik Ehn’s Yermedea Raw that explores women’s bodies and agency in the time of genocide. Yermedea will consist of a short showing of the work-in-progress, followed by a conversation about the process and a Q&A, focusing especially on the way in which puppet theatre can work to convey the unutterable realities of genocide explored in the text. Directed by Kym Moore, with Puppetry Direction and Design by Alejandra Prieto. More information available on the Events page at brown.edu/taps.
This Workshop Presentation is made possible by the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and a generous grant from the CAC/Fitt Artist in Residence program.
