The loved and the lover; the love. Three sites. The love occupies the space of the story (spirit, breath, speech/tongues) or the witness. Lovers require the obstacle of story to move through in order to find each other. The third – the complication/that which triangulates – gives room for understanding (and also the confusion of reason; room for synthesis and uproar; room in which to move). The story is not the objective of the lover or beloved – the other is the objective – story is what is moved through in order to get to what counts. The audience not only makes the story – they are the story – they are the medium; the beloved walks into the house of love wet with story (audience) – then undresses.
