[Let’s say we’ll go for seven of these protest planning posts and see what the tide brings in.]


The two key features of a proposed cultural shutdown that appeal to me most: the cooperation of the military, and – a month without speaking. To the silence… Just back from a silent retreat with ‘pataphysics, way down a hot road in TX. Our super cook, also observing silence, noted a seven inch long, Hollywood colored centipede thick as your finger, crawling speedily, near, looking for trouble. Rather than freak audibly, the cook wrote a note, mustered support, and the verifiable demon was swept out. This respect for silence, for its preservation, for its fruitfulness, points to its attractiveness as a resource (as against a withholding of something). So the protest amasses the capital of silence…
