It’s not about climbing the mountain or not climbing the mountain, not about staying away from the work in order to get rest. The mountain will climb up on you if you try to pull aside, and then there’s the panicked job of climbing out. You are (we are) going to climb the mountain. Rest is not exemption from a work practice; it is part of a work practice. Pause at the switchbacks.
We’re worried about resources. If we wanted to do less, this need for resources would still find us. Might as well be in need up in the crystal air.
